Property Our cottage is waterfront, however the gravel road runs between the shoreline and the cottage lot. Our cottage is the second to last cottage on the road, just before the dead end. There is minimal traffic as a result. Our cottage is not appropriate for anyone with accessibility problems. Parking is at the road level, and you must climb the rock stairs to get to the cottage itself. The rock shoreline is natural, and therefore care must be taken when walking over the uneven surface. Towels and linens You must supply your own towels and bed linens. There are three queen size beds as well as a pull-out sofa bed in one of the bedrooms which is a double. (Please note that the queen bed in the room with the pull-out sofa is only accessible from one side.) Kitchen Our cottage is equipped with a stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker and kettle. Dishes, pots, pans and cutlery are provided as well. Water The water source for our cottage is well water. The iron in the well water causes it to be slightly coloured and the sulphur causes a slight odour. The water has been tested and is safe for drinking. We also do provide a bottled water cooler, which holds the large 18L jugs of spring water. You are welcome to use whatever water is in the jug when you arrive, however, please bring a full bottle with you so that you leave some behind for the next guest. BBQ We will try to ensure that the propane tank for the BBQ has sufficient propane in it for your stay. However, if it does run out, please have the tank refilled in Ferndale at one of the gas stations. Rental Details Our rental weeks run from 3pm on Saturday to 10am on the following Saturday. Please ensure that you vacate by 10am, as we do require sufficient time to ensure that the cottage is ready for the next guest. It is your responsibility to ensure the cottage is left clean - any cleaning costs incurred by us will be deducted from your security deposit. Contact Us
