Enjoy the Incredible Sunsets and Amazing Star Shows!

Serenity is located on the Lake Huron shoreline in Stokes Bay on the Bruce Peninsula.  The unique elevation of the cottage allows for great lake and sunset views from the front porch.   The flat rock shoreline is also a great place to appreciate the tranquility of the lake.  At night, look up and gaze at the unbelievable star show or relax by a campfire on the shore.

Swimmers can enjoy the pristine waters of Lake Huron either at our rock shoreline (water shoes recommended) or a short walk down the road at a sandy, very shallow beach area (perfect for young children.)  Bring a canoe or kayak with you and paddle off from the shoreline.  For motorized watercraft, a public boat launch is located in Stokes Bay, 5 minutes away.

Conveniently located half-way between Tobermory and Wiarton, Serenity provides for easy access to all of the sights which are located on the Bruce Peninsula.  A general store is located in Stokes Bay, while a full grocery store and LCBO liquor and beer store are located in Lions Head, 10 minutes away.  Lions Head also has a small hospital, while a larger hospital is located in Wiarton, which is a 25 minute drive.

Our 3 bedroom cottage, which comfortably accommodates 8, has a rustic pine interior, with area rugs over either pine or laminate floors.  The living room has a beautiful wood-burning fireplace and is furnished with two sofas, coffee and end tables and a TV with DVD player and Wii. (Please note the TV is only for use with the DVD and Wii - there are no TV channels available.)  Rogers 3G wireless internet access is available.  The kitchen is equipped with a fridge, stove, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, toaster oven and kettle. Basic dishes and utensils are provided for your use during your stay.  The dining area consists of a large pine dining table, surrounded by built-in padded benches, and can easily seat 8.

Two of the bedrooms have queen size beds, while the third bedroom has a queen size bed and a double sofa bed.  A dresser and/or closet is provided in each bedroom.  The bathroom consists of a shower, toilet and sink, with some vanity and medicine cabinet space to store your personal effects.  Please note that bed linens and towels are not provided.

The water supply to our cottage comes from a well.  The well water contains sulphur and iron, which while safe to drink, does cause the water to contain an odour and colour.  We suggest that you bring a large 18 litre bottle of spring water for drinking water purposes during your stay.  We have provided a water cooler which you can use to mount your water jug and to dispense refreshing cold water for drinking.

Our cottage also has a propane forced-air furnace, which may come in handy on those cool spring or fall mornings.

On the front deck you will find a propane BBQ for your use, as well as some Adirondack chairs and a patio set.  A picnic table is also provided for outside dining purposes.  To reach the shoreline, proceed down the rock staircase and cross the gravel road.  At the rock shoreline, surrounding the firepit, you will find a small table and two chairs, as well as some stacking chairs.  You may wish to bring some extra lawn chairs for use either at our shoreline, or at the sandy beach down the road.
